Kamalak Jilosi (Excitement of Rainbow) is the annual republican contest of children’s drawings and handmade articles among students of institutions for children without parents.

The Central Exhibition Hall of Uzbekistan’s Academy of Arts has hosted the awarding ceremony of the contest’s winners. Kids of Mehribonlik orphanages, children’s towns, and SOS villages from all regions of the republic took part in the current race.

“The gala passed in a festive and compassionate atmosphere, attracting all interested in arts,” shared the winner in the nomination Quick-Made Drawing Barno Ibragimova, pupil of Mehribonlik orphanage 23. “Last year I also won in the contest. I am very happy to meet the expectations of my tutors.”

Jamshid Nuriddinov of Jizzakh, Erkin Yoldoshev of Chirchiq, Sog’diyona Sodiqova of Boysun district and Rahmon Aliyev of Qo’qon were found best in nominations The Best Drawing and The Best Handmade Article.

“Our schoolmates very often become winners of various contests. That is probably the reason of their aspirations. They attend various artistic circles with great enthusiasm, developing their creative potential. Supporting their ardor for the art, we help them to build their path toward a great future. Looking at their bright, cheerful works, one can see the enthusiasm, elevated mood and happiness with which children drew their products,” noted Svetlana Yanishkina, headmaster of Mehribonlik orphanage 12 in Tashkent.

The main objective of the contest is to assist in spiritual and intellectual development of children through heightening their interest in art and creativity, discovering and perfecting their talents, imagination and thinking.
