The head of our state noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a legal guarantor of building a democratic state and civil society in our country, of securing civil rights and freedoms, the development of the Motherland and bolstering the wellbeing of the people.
The realization of norms of the Constitution is brightly manifest in the peace and harmony reigning in our country, the results of the reforms undertaken that fill our life with new substance, in the positive changes in the consciousness and thinking of people, in the life of every family and every human being.
Noting this historic date, we realize even deeper the significance of the Basic Law for all spheres of our life – for the consolidation of the national statehood, the steadfast development of socio-economic areas, the elevation of life standards of population, the growth in the standing of our country in the world community.
Another important peculiarity of celebrating the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan is in the fact that priority aspects in the further development of the society are defined on this day that reflect the gracious aspirations of our people, in accordance with which the title of the new year is announced.
On the initiative of President Islam Karimov, the year 2013 was announced as the Year of Wellbeing and Prosperity.

At the Uzbek Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (UzStandard) was held a "round table" on the subject: “Principles of work of Technical Committees on Standardization of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)”.
The event was attended by about thirty experts of various Technical Committees (TC) of the country, and an international ISO expert was the moderator and speaker.
The meeting was held within the framework of partnership of Uzstandard and ISO and was aimed at increasing the work capacity conducted by the technical committees on standardization in Uzbekistan, and to increase their participation in the development of international standards within the relevant line of ISO technical committees.
We remind that that most ministries and departments have TCs on standardization for the organization and implementation of standardization activities in some areas, types of products and services.
Currently in Uzbekistan operate 29 TCs on standardization among them TCs of UzbekNefteGaz, UzPaxtaSanoat, State Committee of Communication, UzAvtoSanoat and others.
Participation of Uzbek TCs in the development of international standards, from draft stage to the adoption of a standard, will contribute to the harmonization of state standard requirements with international standards, and to promote the interests of Uzbekistan in the external market.
Add that, in accordance with national legislation, TCs are included in the national standardization system and charged with one of the most important functions - development and examination of national standards. In addition, participation of all interested parties in the activities of TCs is on a voluntary basis.
At the National Press Center was held a press conference on "Improvement of statistical reporting using digital signature; priorities in further introduction of interactive services".
The event was organized by the State Committee on Statistics and Chamber of Trade and Commerce of Uzbekistan.
During the conference, it was noted that great attention is paid in our country to introduction and further development of information and communication technologies in all spheres, especially in the work of government bodies. In recent years, government bodies have been equipped with computers, local and corporate networks and information resources systems have been created.
At present, the State Statistics Committee, through its official resource www.stat.uz provides 6 basic and 4 additional online government services.
The basic services are: provision of data on basic macroeconomic figures of the country, information about enterprises and organizations in Unified state register, application forms for statistical reporting and others.
Additional services: provision of data on methodology of statistical data manipulation, information on time series and demographic data since 1991 and examination of petitions, complaints and suggestions from citizens on statistics.
Among interactive services - collection and processing of state statistical reports.
We remind that in order to further liberalize the economy and fundamentally improve the business climate, in 2012 the President of Uzbekistan signed a Decree "On measures to fundamentally reduce statistical, tax, financial reporting, license types and licensing procedures".
This document puts the task before the government bodies, by the end of 2014, to fully shift to the electronic system of statistical, financial and tax reporting.
In this regard, the State Statistics Committee has developed and introduced an Automated Information System e-Stat, which facilitates preparation, filling-in and submission of state statistical reports to state statistics bodies in electronic form.
As a result of introduction of e-Stat, the share of reports submitted in electronic form is growing rapidly year on year. If in 2011, its share was only 4.0% of the total number of reports, in 2012 - 26.5%, and in the III quarter of this year it reached 86%.
Development of interactive services, ease of their use and accessibility to any visitor of the site makes the work of government bodies more open, and procedures for interaction with the public and business entities more transparent.

“I have been working on scientific research dedicated to the artistic and esthetic aspects of advertisement art in Uzbekistan, enquiring into its genesis,” Sakina shares with us. “I am proud that I am a daughter of this great nation, where the youths are paid so vast an attention, and where their aspirations, knowledge and gifts are supported with dignity. In 2009, I became a laureate of the Alisher Navoi state scholarship, while in 2010 I won the state scholarship of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and now I am awarded the badge “Uzbekiston Belgisi”. This places a huge responsibility on me and stimulates for new creative heights.”
